Meagen Moreland-Taliancich is thrilled to re-join the team of Gambel Communications, showcasing 15 years of multi-sector communications experience at the local, national and international level. A native of South Carolina, Meagen pursued academia in French & Francophone Studies, completing her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., a master’s from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and doctoral coursework at Tulane University.

In 2014, she joined the Consulate General of France in Louisiana as the Press & Communications Attaché, where she first honed her expertise for crisis and issue management and public affairs. In this role, Meagen led press and media for the diplomatic visits of the first female Mayor of Paris, the Ambassador of France in the United States, and high-ranking political figures from across the world.

In 2018, Meagen first joined the team at Gambel Communications, where she had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of clients at the local and national level, including the Louisiana Office of Tourism, T. Parker Host, Hostelling International USA, Bridge House / Grace House, and the George Rodrigue Life & Legacy Foundation.

In February 2020, Meagen and her business partners opened the doors of her company, Happy Raptor Distilling, where she served as Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer – one of only 8% of female distillery owners nationally. During this time, she built the company brand from the ground up, leading communications and strategy through a pandemic, category 4 hurricane, and uniquely challenging economic environment. Thanks to the support of her incredible team at Happy Raptor, Meagen returns to Gambel Communications with a renewed passion for working at a top-tier, nationally recognized agency.

Meagen is a proud alumnus of Beloved Community and MiNO’s Equity at Work: Hospitality inaugural cohort, a two-year intensive for established hospitality companies where she completed over 60 hours of equity training, as well as the Goldman-Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, the City of New Orleans Civic Leadership Academy, Bryan Bell Leadership Forum, and the Loyola Institute of Politics.

In July 2021, Meagen was awarded the cover of Biz Magazine as a New & Notable and, in 2022, was named one of the 500 Most Influential Leaders in New Orleans. When she’s not serving clients, Meagen is reading celebrity memoirs, cooking new recipes, and embarking on adventures with her husband, Mark, two young sons, Zeek and Charlie, and their cat, Samiappe.
