New Orleans, LA (March 28, 2017) – New Orleans public relations firm Gambel Communications was inducted into the NOLA 100, an initiative founded by Matt Wisdom of Turbo Squid and other individuals and local organizations. The public relations firm was one of eighteen organizations recognized on March 22, 2017 during an awards presentation at the ninth annual New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

The NOLA100 is an initiative that honors entrepreneurs who have gained significant traction and have made a lasting impact on the local entrepreneurship movement. It recognizes Greater New Orleans Area businesses that were founded after 1999, have surpassed $1 million in booked business in a single year and have sales outside of Louisiana.

“I am humbled and honored to be part of this amazing group of entrepreneurs,” said Betsie Gambel, president of Gambel Communications. “The spirit of New Orleans’ entrepreneurs is something that sets our city apart.”

Betsie founded Gambel Communications in 2009 and is a graduate of the 2012 Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. Gambel’s leadership and business acumen have been recognized by the Small Business Administration, PR Week and New Orleans City Business, among others. In 2014, she was inducted into the Southern Public Relations Federation Hall of Fame as its first PR professional from Louisiana, and in 2013 she was the recipient of the Small Business Administration Woman Champion of the Year in six states.

The celebration at Entrepreneur Week comes one year before the Tricentennial; by then the NOLA100 hopes its members will have a combined revenue of at least $1 billion.
